There are many! Each one carries a different message although most revolve around a handful of well wishes in so many variations that include: happiness (for family, couples), health (for the elderly), fortune (for young professionals, the business owner), and success (in school at college).
Here are some simple Chinese New Year greetings you could use!
1. 祝你新年快乐 (zhù nǐ xīn nián kuài lè) - Wishing you a Happy New Year!
2. 恭喜发财 (gōng xǐ fā cái) - Wishing you prosperity and good fortune!
3. 祝你新年快乐, 身体健康 (zhù nǐ xīn nián kuài lè, shēn tǐ jiàn kāng) - Wishing you a happy new year and good health!
4. 恭喜发财, 红包拿来 (gōng xǐ fācái, hóng bāo ná lái) - Congratulations on your prosperity, now give me a red envelope!
